Overview

Skin Health is a skin cancer awareness initiative that falls under Friends of Cancer Patients’ umbrella “Kashf” for early detection of cancer and endorsed by the UAE Ministry of Health.

Launched in September 2014 and remained active until the end of 2016, Skin Health is the first of its kind in the UAE that seeks to increase awareness about the prevention, early detection, signs and symptoms, and treatment of skin cancer. The initiative aims to educate the public and healthcare professionals about the disease which is an ‘under-recognised overachiever’ – being one of the most common but least understood health concerns in the Middle East.

Skin Health aims to:

1. Rise awareness about the prevention, early detection, signs and symptoms and treatment of skin cancer.
2. Educate the public and healthcare professionals about the disease.
